The B2D toolkit

Small businesses make up the backbone of America, but many of those managing or working within these environments do not have the resources they need to keep their business ahead of the competition.

The B2D toolkit is a system of materials designed to help small business owners and entrepreneurs solve problems from a design perspective. Needs were determined by conducting research with small business owners, marketing managers and entrepreneurs from all over the country.

Qualitative research formed the basis of the deliverable, which includes four toolkit books, one for each major identified user need, a design workbook to help small business teams work more collaboratively, a website that houses case studies and an online community to discuss and share stories, and marketing materials for the B2D brand itself.
